Teachers Take Flight is going Southwest

Professor Burchan Aydin from Texas A&M University-Commerce attended the 2017 Teachers Take Flight Workshop. Through his efforts Kashmir World Foundation has partnered with Texas A&M University-Commerce to host the 3rd Annual Teachers Take Flight Workshop in Dallas, Texas. Texas A&M University is a coeducational public research university with more than 62,500 students at the College Station campus and an additional 57,000 at the branch campuses in Galveston, Qatar and other locations across Texas.

Texas A&M Universities international education reach KwF can expand Teachers Take Flight workshops to inspire and prepare educators to empower students in solving real world challenges in a diverse and collaborative environment through the integration of science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) education that applies autonomous unmanned aerial systems (UASs).

The workshop promotes open collaboration on curriculum and mission focused drone projects through an expanded network of Teachers Take Flight participants across the world. During the workshop teachers and professors learn to design, fabricate, operate, and customize unmanned aerial systems embedded with single board computers and artificial intelligence for mission focused projects that motivate students to integrate STEM to solve real world problems.
