About the Role
Join the Agentic AI Systems Team at Kashmir World Foundation (KwF) and help pioneer the next generation of autonomous AI frameworks for conservation. As an intern, you’ll research, prototype, and deploy AI agents capable of independent decision-making — advancing KwF’s mission to protect wildlife and ecosystems through cutting-edge technology.
Requirements
This is a hands-on, cross-disciplinary opportunity where you’ll explore open-source agentic AI frameworks, integrate real-world conservation data, and build containerized AI agents that support KwF’s global projects. This is a hands-on, cross-disciplinary opportunity where you’ll explore open-source agentic AI frameworks, integrate real-world conservation data, and build containerized AI agents that support KwF’s global projects.
🔹 What You’ll Do
Research open-source Agentic AI frameworks and tools
Present and compare examples of existing AI Agents
Investigate hardware requirements for running agentic AI in conservation settings
Collaborate with other KwF teams to standardize data (audio, video, sensor, environmental)
Build prototype AI Agents that demonstrate applications for conservation
Develop and publish a finished AI Agent that:
Uses an open-source Agentic AI framework
Is containerized for reproducibility and deployment
🔹 Required Skills & Experience
Intermediate Python proficiency — ability to write, debug, and optimize scripts, and work with AI/ML libraries
AI/ML fundamentals — experience with large language models, prompt engineering, and API integration
Data science proficiency — managing and analyzing datasets using Pandas, NumPy, and spreadsheets
Familiarity with multimodal LLMs — models that process text, images, audio, or video
Research literacy — ability to read, summarize, and apply findings from technical/academic literature
Strong communication skills — able to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences
Remote collaboration ability — comfort working asynchronously using GitHub, Discord, Google Meet, or Microsoft Teams
Documentation habits — keeping clear records of experiments, code, and findings
🔹 Preferred Skills & Experience
Hands-on AI/ML engineering experience — building, fine-tuning, or deploying models
Familiarity with IoT or remote sensor systems for real-time data processing
Experience with agentic AI frameworks (e.g., Auto-GPT, BabyAGI, CrewAI)
Exposure to MLOps or AI deployment platforms (e.g., Hugging Face, LangChain, OpenAI API, Gemini API)
Experience integrating AI into applications (chatbots, automation pipelines, or web apps)
🔹 Who We’re Looking For
Students or recent graduates in Computer Science, Data Science, AI/ML, or related STEM fields
Passionate about applying AI to real-world conservation challenges
Curious, collaborative, and eager to explore emerging AI trends
Excited to work in a fast-paced, interdisciplinary team environment
🌱 This internship is an opportunity to work at the frontier of agentic AI while making a direct impact on wildlife conservation and ecosystem protection.
