About the Workshop

Snow leopards are solitary, mountain-dwelling mammals found throughout 12 countries in Central and South Asia. They have a small and decreasing population throughout a large range. These elusive cats are vulnerable due to poaching, habitat loss, a decline in the availability of prey, and poisoning. 

Asif Somairi is a snow leopard conservationist from the greater Kashmir region called, Gilgit, Baltistan. He will share the challenges of snow leopards face in the himilalyan region. 

Learn how you can be part of KwF's effort to stop poaching and save these majestic big cats from extinction.
