About the Workshop
Embark on a five-day journey into the heart of Costa Rica’s Osa Peninsula with the Kashmir World Foundation—one of the most biologically vibrant regions on Earth. Following the breakthroughs of our 2025 mission, this expedition takes you deeper into the rainforest to explore, document, and protect its incredible wildlife using cutting-edge multi-sensor acoustic and visual technologies.
As an expedition participant, you’ll join a team of field scientists from KwF and Tamandua Biological Station to install acoustic sensors, set up camera traps, and deploy the DeepData Capture App to map wildlife responses to human activity. Dive into hands-on experiments simulating real-world disturbances—chainsaws, vehicles, or human presence—to witness how sentinel species communicate threats through sound and behavior. Every recording, every observation contributes to AI-driven models that could transform rainforest conservation.
Between fieldwork adventures, you may explore the trails of Corcovado National Park, snorkel among the reefs of Isla del Caño, or simply…
