About the Role

We are looking for an aerospace or mechanical engineer to help us create unmanned aerial systems to study and protect endangered species. Most of our currently involves Eagle Ray, a Blended Wing Body aircraft designed to take-off from sea level, climb to over 18,500 feet, and stay on station during inclement weather.

Working with some of the world's best aircraft designers, the intern would learn and apply skills in computer aided design and materials science to integrate power, propulsion, control systems, sensor, and avionics into the Eagle Ray platform, optimizing performance for specific mission requirements.

The intern would also serve as a representative to Project Trinity, integrating artificial intelligence into Eagle Ray to enable the aerial system to have situational awareness, execute decisions, and optimize its flight profile and actions to best support its mission.

Requirements

  • Some experience in Computer-Aided Design
