Business Women's Giving Circle Funds SuperHERo Girls Drone Workshop

We are pleased to announce the that Kashmir World Foundation is the recieptiant of the Northern Virginia Community Foundation Business Women's Giving Circle Grant. Funding will support the DaVinci Challenge: Build a Drone Workshop for SuperHERo Girls, a hands-on, innovative STEM drone workshop that empowers middle to high school girls with leadership and entrepreneurial skills including critical thinking and collaboration via design, fabrication and operation of a drone with a mission focus to develop solutions for real world challenges. The grant will fund the first ever public school DaVinci SuperHERo Drone Girls Workshop at Glasgow Middle School for fifteen (15) seventh and eighth grade girls. In teams of three the girls will build, program and fly five (5) Quadcopter Drones.
